Manifesto
La Dalia has witnessed countless events that enrich the history of our beloved El Salvador; emblematic figures of both national and international art and culture have graced our tables. From the balconies, we have been spectators to various scenes that shaped our country, as we listened to echoes, laughter, and applause throughout the years. We encourage you to write a new page in history.
We encourage you to write a new page in history.
At Club La Dalia, we are striving to revive the experiences and good times that many have shared; we want new generations to know us and for our loyal visitors to remember us forever.
At Club La Dalia, we are working hard to revive the experiences and good times that many have shared; we want new generations to make their mark on our society.
Additional information:
The former owner of Club La Dalia, Carlos Barrios, led the establishment for more than 40 years, and after his passing, it was handed over to his daughter.
Over 9 years ago, Jose Luis Villeda joined the management, and now the team consists of 9 people (Owner, Manager, Event Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, Community Manager, 3 salespeople, and a cook).
La Dalia Billiards, which in its heyday hosted important Mexican figures such as Pedro Infante, Luis Aguilar, and Lucha Villa, remains the gathering place for adults who enjoy sharing a game, a meal, or a conversation.
La Dalia now stands proudly in the face of history, defying the ups and downs of society, withstanding earthquakes and countless other challenges—it has survived and is here for the long haul. It is here to stay. It is important to note that the long wait for the recovery of the Historic Center has taken many years and resulted in thousands of dollars in losses for many property owners. The earthquakes, the violence, the opening of pedestrian streets, and the ensuing chaos that transformed the streets of downtown San Salvador—not only the Historic Center—into a marketplace, generating an exodus, as will be seen later.
This is, therefore, a life story—it is about revitalizing this cultural space, a place where musicians and poets, writers and painters come together to entertain their audience. It also offers music and dance among its many delights for the passerby, the regular visitor who comes for a “table” or simply to enjoy the view of Plaza Libertad and its surroundings.
